Currently, I am Associate Professor (profesor titular) in the area of Architecture and Technology of Computers, with the Department of Computer Engineering, University of Valencia. I have 6 five-year teaching periods (quinquenios docentes) and 4 six-year research periods (sexenios de investigación).
Research

Author of more than 50 international publications (journals
and
conferences) related with image processing hardware design and smart vision sensors.

I have been involved in 15 research projects, with public and/or private funding.

Reviewer and member of some Editorial/Topic Boards in several journals in the field of circuits and systems for electronic imaging.

I was visiting Researcher with the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA, USA; the Department of Applied Computer Studies, University of Macedonia, Thessaloniki, Greece; and the Computer Vision Group, Universitat Jaume I, Castellón, Spain.
